Erol Ozsever
Erol Ozsever (b.1985) is a classical guitarist from Fishers, Indiana. In 2007 he graduated cum laude from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Guitar Performance with a minor in Recording Industry Management. In 2009 he graduated magna cum laude from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with a Master of Music Degree in Guitar Performance with a minor in Early Music. He has performed in master classes with a number of world-renowned performers including Jason Vieaux, Ana Vidovic, Adam Holzman, Adam del Monte, and Stanley Yates.
In 2004 he was selected as a national finalist in the American String Teachers Association solo competition. He also took 2nd prize at the 2005-2007 Beethoven Club Young Artists' Competition. In 2007 he was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in guitar performance from Middle Tennessee State University. In 2008 he was awarded the top prize for graduate strings in the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale. In 2009 he was awarded 1st prize at the Rosario Guitar Competition in Columbia, South Carolina. In 2010 he was awarded 2nd prize at the Competition in the performance of the music of Spain and Latin America at Indiana University, which was open to singers, instrumentalists, and ensembles.
Erol is currently residing in Bloomington, Indiana to attend the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University to study guitar with EMI recording artist Ernesto Bitetti.
